Global Refugee Flows

Any casual watcher of global events must be aware of the refugee crisis currently underway in the world.  This data visualization shows the magnitude of the crisis that is at its worse now than at anytime since World War 2.

Some instructions for this dashboard:

• You may select 5 Origin Countries on the left bar which will show how those refugees are moving throughout the globe. Selecting more than 5 won't display.
• Deselecting all the year's shows all the years between 1999 and 2017.
• Below the Flow Map is a Tree Map showing how many Refugees each country took in and from where. 
• Below the Tree Map is a Line Graph showing the history of refugee flows for the selected countries.
• Select the Expand button to maximize the dashboard to full screen.
• Please allow a moment for the dashboard to load.
